Thank you for all who shared your smiles on Day 1. Looking forward to sharing smiles on Day 2.
In our busy and hectic lives, sometimes we forget to stop and smile, hold back a laugh, or get pulled down by unhappy people. Then we have the continuous depressing reality of the world at large with senseless murders, wars, etc. and the wrath of Mother Nature.
Not too long ago there was the 100 Happy Days phenomenon that encouraged millions of people around the world to keep a social media photo diary for 100 days of things that made one happy each day.
We need this phenomenon to continue for our own selves and to keep positive energy around us which then multiplies into massive movement of positive energy.
I would like to encourage each one of you to share with me and all the readers on what brings a smile to your face everyday. Everyday for the next 30 days (to begin with), in the comment box below, please share with me what brought a smile to your face that day. It can be absolutely anything. Be open to all the that’s out there.
Are you in?
I got a text from my friend this morning. She said when she dropped her son to nursery he was a bit teary and S went up to him, took his hand and said “Come with me A, let’s go and play.” My heart melted at his kind and sweet gesture.
Two beautiful things brought huge smiles today. I heard the boys wake up this morning and while one was calling out ‘mama, mama’, the other one very sweetly said, ‘your mama is coming’. Ha ha ha.
Walking in the mall today there was a really sweet site looking at an elderly couple strolling hand in hand.
Today we sat at the breakfast table and we’re making plans on what to do for the summer … When my oldest suddenly said … “Mom.. Let’s you and i do a road trip, or a train trip if you don’t wanna drive .. It’ll be so much fun!!” I smiled, feeling so grateful, that my 17year old is still excited to spend time with me!! So blessed!!! Thanks you God!
Your post yesterday, made me stop and think for a moment if I am really conscious about what makes me smile in a day, or do I even smile? And yes,
Of course , I do have many moments that fill my heart with joy and brings a smile to my face. Today, my friend Neha, made me smile! She drove out to spend time with me!! We talked, walked , laughed and after she left, I smiled with joy! I am blessed with good women as friends ! Thank you, God! And I can tell already , I’m gonna be beaming with a smile as I pick up my boy from school and see him walking up to the car with his ” hero” swag!
Isn’t it a nice feeling to think that we are actually happier than we think we are? And more blessed than we realise? 🙂
